A thought from Rose

Life gets bigger when we go out to live it

Soweto, South Africa — where the itinerary met colour and courage.

Between plans and surprises, some journeys widen the size of life and change the place we look from.

I used to believe a good trip began with a flawless plan. Set times, saved addresses and the right outfit for each day.

Travelling without turning everything into a race

There is a huge difference between getting to know a place and just passing through it. Today I like to leave a morning free and walk with nowhere urgent to be.

“The best part of the road rarely fits the itinerary — but it almost always finds room in memory.”

Leaving room for the unexpected

The unexpected doesn’t have to be romantic all the time. Still, there is freedom in not demanding that every moment live up to the expectations we built before leaving.

What is worth taking

  • Curiosity to look beyond the tourist spot
  • Presence to live before taking the photo
  • Kindness to remember we are visitors

Soweto também me ensinou muito sobre comunidade. Adorei ler a sua experiência.
